I am normally not very good at promoting myself. I always forget to use the social media banners that conference organizes helpfully send me. And while I do have a list of upcoming speaking engagements on this site, I don’t really push it in your face at every opportunity.
But the organizers of SeaQL 2026 pushed me. They asked me to record a video, to explain what attendees can expect when they sign up for my precon. And then, the fantastic Tonie Huizer went one step further, and created a YouTube short out of my promo video!
The obvious next step is then, of course, to promote it here on my blog.
April 17 – SeaQL, Brouwersdam, the Netherlands
On April 17, you can attend my precon Execution Plans Explained, at the Brouwersdam, a beautiful location at the sea in the Netherlands.
What to expect? Just watch the video. Or, if you are young and hip and modern (and very impatient), watch the short instead.
For just € 395, you get a full day of content, where I take your execution plan knowledge from zero (or wherever you are now), to the next level! And as a special bonus, you will receive 20% discount on all current and future Execution Plan Video Training content. That will save you over $100 for the current content, and even more on future content!
January 22 – Data Community Day Austria
Perhaps you don’t want to wait too long? Or prefer a different location?
If you hurry up, you can still buy tickets for Data Community Day Austria, held in Vienna on January 22 (precons) and 23 (main conference). Here, I will present a different precon: Execution Plans in Depth.
I don’t have a video promo for this version. To get an idea of the contents, watch the video above. Then realize that this precon is slightly more advanced. So I will skip the basics, to free up some time to cover more advanced scenarios.
In Vienna, the price is set at € 199, plus a € 14.98 processing fee. So € 213.98 total. You can sign up here. And you will of course get the same 20% discount code!
Other opportunities?
Does neither of these options work for you?
Don’t despair! I constantly submit my precons to conferences. They obviously always get a lot of proposals, so I am not always accepted. But I still get to present these precons several times each year. So, keep an eye on my list of upcoming speaking engagements, to make sure you don’t miss an opportunity!
Or, if you do not want to wait until the stars align, take matters in your own hand. Convince your boss to contact me and discuss options for custom in-house training for your company.
